GLIDES project

After working on the GLIDES project for a while, I have realized that it can be a wonderful and innovative way to learn. It first allows students investigate about real-world issues and topics that allow them to become more well-rounded. It strongly contrasts with the traditional ways of teaching because it gives students more space to work independently from teachers, but with necessary assistance. Students are required to use critical thinking skills, work cooperatively, understand diverse point of views, and manage their time effectively in order to achieve their goals.
In addition the implementation of modern technology makes it stand out and makes it more interesting for students. Therefore, students become more involved in the project, which helps them retain all the information that it's learned throughout the whole process.
Finally at the end of the project, students are left with new working skills that can help them with future projects that require them to think outside the box and come up with solutions that require more work than usual problems.

What is Racism?

Before talking about racism, I think it's essential to understand what racism is in the first place.

Racism may be defined as the hatred of one person by another, or the belief that another person is less than human, because of skin color, language, customs, place of birth or any factor that supposedly reveals the basic nature of that person. But in my opinion, racism can also be a synomim for words such as ignorance, incomprehension, nescience and baseness.

Although it's a completely inhumane way of thinking, racism has influenced wars, slavery, the formation of nations, and legal codes throughout history. It has been a factor in the course of the world and one factor that influenced on how society acts today.

Nevertheless, what gives us the right to mistread other people for their biological treats? Do they deserve to be the target of prejudice because of how God made them? If we are all equal, then who says that a group of people is different?
At the end, people who are discriminated against are the people who prevail and what cannot kill them, can only make them stronger.
